As soon as Autumn comes around I instantly go into boot buying mode. I started searching for boots online, lusted over one too many pairs on Pinterest, and was sadly underwhelmed by the selection of boots at my local mall. Last year a Call It Spring store opened near me and I was instantly drawn to their stylish and affordable selection. I bought a nice pair of ankle boots there (similar) and they still look as great as they did when I bought them last Fall and are very comfortable to wear.
I decided to give their shop a try again a week ago, and after looking through the seemingly infinite amount of cute boots and shoes they had, I decided to try on their Aldenaide boot. I wanted a pair of boots that would be great for when the snow hits and these certainly fit the bill. They are a tall boot that hits just below the knee, have a small chunky heel with a rubber sole and a deep tread that will grip the snow really well. Unlike my other boots, guaranteed for me to probably slide around and fall, these will make sure only my feet touch the ground this Winter.
I love the buckle detailing on the side as well as the boot topper as it makes them edgy, yet casual. The only downside to these boots that I have found as of yet is that the heel area is quite hard and can become slightly uncomfortable with prolonged wear. Nothing a pair of heel cushions can’t fix. Aside from that, these boots have a great lining on the inside which will keep your feet from getting cold. Another thing to note is that I did have to size up when purchasing these boots as they run a bit on the smaller side.
So my second purchase from Call It Spring was a success and I am very happy with my Aldenaide boots. They are really easy to dress up or down, and I paired them with some ripped knee jeans from Forever 21 and a cute plaid button up. They come in four colours and are a steal at only $59.99 CAD!
