MAC Cleanse Off Oil Review

Back in September I went to an Estee Lauder Sale and picked up the MAC Cleanse Off Oil ($33) because I heard Julie G talking about how much she liked it on her Youtube channel some time ago. I had never tried an oil cleanser before so I was interested to see how it would work to take off my makeup.

The oil has a nice consistency to it and isn’t too thick or too thin. It has a really nice faint, clean scent to it which is nice. The bottle comes with a pump which makes it really easy to dispense the product into your hand. If you’re new to oils like I was then you’re probably wondering how to use it. All you need to do is pump some of the oil into your hand and massage it into your face without any water. It will then start to break up all of your foundation, concealer and powders as you work it into your skin. If you have eye makeup on then just use a small pump and rub it onto your lids and lashes. You will look a little crazy and panda eyed after you’re all finished, but don’t worry! Now just wash off the oil off with water and follow up with your usual cleanser if you feel that you need to. I find that this removes all of my face makeup really well and I like that it’s very gentle on the skin. I follow up with a eye makeup remover just to get rid of any left over eyeliner or mascara that is being stubborn.

This product will work great for all skin types, even those with oily or sensitive skin. Even though it cleanses the skin really well it doesn’t leave my face feeling tight. It actually makes my skin feel really smooth and hydrated. I really enjoy using this because it takes no time at all to remove all of my face makeup like it did before. It is also much more gentle than going in with a makeup remover wipe which can be abrasive, and then a cleanser like I used to do previously. I really suggest trying out this product if you’re looking to get into cleanse off oils because it seriously is amazing. I don’t know why I didn’t buy this sooner!
