This past week has just been amazing. The sun was shining practically every day, I was able to have the windows open letting the warm air in and going out and about was an easy feat. There was no need to bundle up in thick coats and feel like that kid from “A Christmas Story”. You know what I’m talking about. The nice weather instantly perks up my mood and just puts me in a better state of mind. I love being outside and enjoying the fresh air. My boyfriend and I decided that since it was so lovely out that we would go out and do some Spring shopping and treat ourselves a bit. I had a few items in mind that I was wanting to pick up for the Spring time so I am going to share them with you today!
First off I went to Aldo Accessories because I have had the same wallet for a really long time and it was time to get a new one. I looked around for a while, not really in love with any they had, but as I did a final scan over the store I zoned in on a bright fushia wallet. One of the sales associates came over and said she was a fan of it as well and passed me the same wallet only in beige. In the end I went with her recommendation because the neutral colour it will go with a lot more outfits/bags. It’s a nice nude colour with brown detailing around the zipper and has gold hardware. It’s big enough to carry all of my cards and cash, but it’s not one of those huge wallets that have you thinking “what do you need all that space for?”. It was also only $25 so how can you say no to that? I was having an amazing time trying on some of their cute midi rings and looking over their necklaces when I came across a mint coloured watch which I knew in that moment had to come home with me. It’s really bright and fun and has a gold casing on it with that jelly type band on it which makes it very comfortable to wear. I thought it would be a great statement piece to pair with a casual outfit and I am just in love with it. It was $30 and I received 20% off my order which in total came to $49. I couldn’t be happier! I will most definitely be going back there to shop for more cute accessories in the future!
As my boyfriend and I were strolling around the mall chatting, Starbucks in hand of course, we walked by a store called Ricki’s and I saw this amazing royal blue top hanging on a wall rack and I pulled him inside to take a look. It is a hi-low tank made out of a very flowy material and what made it so eye catching was the gold buttons on the front. It’s really casual and cute but can also be dressed up and I thought it would be a great addition to my closet. It will look really cute with a pair of dark wash skinny jeans and it will be nice and cool in the summer time as well. They also had this really great top that I saw which says “There Is Beauty In Everything”. I thought it was a really nice message and I picked that up for myself as well. It will look great with a pair of boyfriend jeans and flats. I was told if I spent over $40 at the store I’d get half off any necklace so I picked up this this drapey (is that even a word?..) piece with black and white detailing and thought it would dress up a casual outfit, or even pair nicely with this stunning black pencil dress I picked up from Target for a great price about a month ago.
Next stop was Sephora. Surprise, surprise. I went in specifically to check out the Bite High Pigment Pencils ($28) because they had such great reviews on the Sephora website. After going a little swatch crazy I picked up Corvina, a bright coral shade, which will be an amazing colour for Spring/Summer. I am also lusting over Bouquet and Velvet which have me wanting to make another cheeky trip over to Sephora to pick up! Now as much as I hate to admit it, I have never tried any Tarte products before. I have been wanting to try their oh so covetable Amazonian Clay Blushes ($31) and I when I saw they had three new shades in I just knew I had to pick one up to test out. The one I chose was Fearless which is a bright medium pink shade. I will be doing reviews of these products when I’ve had time to test them out so be sure to check back for my thoughts on them!
So that is all for my little Spring shopping trip and I hope you guys enjoyed it. Let me know if you like these kind of posts because I had fun writing it! Now tell me.. have you done any shopping for yourself lately? What beauty/fashion items are you loving right now?
